A $60 Special Occasion Dress

If you have a wedding, fundraiser, graduation, or any other event this spring that requires an elevated outfit, I found a fabulous special occasion dress you might love.

As you know, you can’t spend a minute online without someone talking about Amazon Fashion. So I made part of my job to sort through the noise and find the pieces truly worth sharing.

Currently, I have two laundry baskets worth of returns by my back door, so much of it is so bad.

But a few weeks ago I came across this dress, and ordered it, without a lot of expectations.

It’s so pretty.

This Amazon find is available in six colors and sizes S—XXL. I chose the navy (below) in the medium.

It has everything I look for in a dress: a faux wrap, a v-neck that’s not too deep, and a high-low hem.

If the dress were one length, it would cut me off at an awkward spot on my leg.

But a high/low shape lifts the hem to hover around my knee, giving me back my height; it also creates playful movement when walking.

I’m wearing it with an old pair of neutral-to-me strappy sandals, but you could wear a metallic in whatever heel you find most comfortable.

Starting with this sweet straw clutch. I don’t know what this is made of, the description says “straw”, but it is a smooth and durable hard case.

I’ve had it since last May and it adds a lovely touch of texture to any outfit. I carry it with everything from white jeans to dresses.

I’m also wearing the Julie Vos Mykonos ring in blue stone.

And these resin earrings are a new Amazon find and I am obsessed with them.
