If you have a work party, a holiday dinner, wedding, or any event at the end of the year that requires something dressed up but not over done, and you don’t want to spend, you might like this dress I found by accident on Amazon.
I’ve mentioned before that I buy a lot from Amazon. If an influencer is praising a piece of clothing, I’ll buy it, and most of the time send it right back.
I don’t even remember ordering this but it came in big haul of dresses I bought from Amazon AND Nordstrom, and this was the only one I kept.
It’s priced at $52 (and today it has a 15% off coupon), in sizes S – XXL (I’m wearing the large) and comes in a range of colors including wine (on me), dark green, navy and black.
For reference I a 5’10 and the under skirt hits just at the bottom of my knee while the top layer hits mid calf creating a sheerness that helps the dress feel light.
If you are short, but like the idea of the dress, PLEASE consider having the skirt hemmed to hit a little below your knee. Embracing the idea of altering your clothes gives you so many more options.
I do it all the time.
There are a few little details I really appreciate, the gathering at the sleeve and waist is pretty and comfortable, and there is a small snap at the neckline to keep it in place.
This isn’t the kind of dress you wear with flats, so if heels aren’t in your wheel house do not buy this.
You need a heel to work with how the dress flows, it has amazing movement.
I’m wearing the Marc Fisher Zala Block Heel in the black suede and some of my Julie Vos bracelets, the Marbella Bracelet here, and Catalina Demi Link Bracelet here.
You could pair this with any kind of metallic heel and clutch or a leopard print as well.
