The Sephora Savings Event starts today.
It’s an excellent opportunity to stock up on your favorite beauty staples and try some new things.
Similar to the Nordstrom Sale, your access is based on “status” (determined by spend) and staggers over the next few days.
If you are Rouge status, you can shop today and save 20% off your order.
VIP status gets access on the 18th and saves 15%.
And if you are new and not part of their reward program, you can become an Insider and save 10% off your order also starting on the 18th.
Is it annoying?
Yes.
If the discount varies I don’t understand why you also have to wait.
But a lot of these brands almost never go on sale so it is a great opportunity to buy more and save.
Surprisingly, I’m VIP status (probably because I buy a lot on Amazon and Nordstrom, too).
Note to self, stay loyal to one place so you get the most savings next year.
So my purchases are sitting in my shopping cart, waiting for Tuesday.
What to Buy at the Sephora Sale

goop Himalayan Salt Scrub Shampoo
In a word, this is Heavenly.
The goop Himalayan Salt Scrub Shampoo is one of my favorite beauty products of all time.
It removes build from your scalp, so you see and notice a noticeable difference after one wash.
But it’s so much more than that. It’s like the most indulgent scalp treatment that feels effervesce, smells incredible, is a little tingly, and is so fresh.
I use it once or twice a week, usually have an extra sweaty work out. And my teenagers recently discovered it, so there is one in their shower now too.
If you want to give it a try, Sephora has a “mini” size for only $15.
I have a regular size waiting for me for $55. I usually order this from Goop or Amazon, and I can tell you they NEVER go on sale.

$15 – $55Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Corrector
The Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Corrector by Givenchy is a new-to-me product.
I get really red on my cheeks, and this helps diffuse it.
Dab it on to the red area, blend it out, and then add concealer.
I like how this works compared to Tarte’s version.
Also available in “peach” to help minimize dark spots and circles.

$37.00rms beauty UnCoverup Natural Finish Concealer
I’ve mentioned the rms beauty UnCoverup Natural Finish Concealer earlier this season.
It’s become the first step in my everyday, no-make up make up on good skin days.
You just need a little bit, applied with a concealer brush is best and I only use it on places I want coverage.
It stays in place and never looks cakey.
Available in an wide range of inclusive skintones.

$38.00Summer Fridays Midnight Ritual Retinol Renewal Serum
I always try different Retinol creams, and the Midnight Ritual Renewal Serum by Summer Fridays is lovely.
I have sensitive skin (hence the redness), and this was not at all irritating.
I like how it feels on the skin; it also absorbs well, and after letting it sit for a few minutes, it layers with my night cream (below) with no issues.
And because I follow Skin Cycling, I use a retinol every five days.
Another retinal I like that is part of the sale is the Farmacy 1% Vitamin A Retinol Serum.

$69.00MERIT Bronze Balm Sheer Sculpting Bronzer
Since turning 40 a few years ago, I’ve slowly transitioned into wearing mostly cream-based makeup, and I’m so happy with the results.
I like the MERIT Bronze Sheer Sculpting Bronzer to add a little warmth and dimension to my face. I use the color “Quince” for fair skin and swipe it just under my cheekbones, around my hairline, and right under my jaw.
It’s very subtle and natural, which is perfect since I’m not going for Kardashian contour.
For something more dramatic, I can’t say enough good things about the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer. I apply this with a contour brush, it’s especially nice when I have a light spray tan.

$30.00MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Self-Setting Medium Coverage Concealer
A couple months ago I saw a video of Jennifer Lopez doing her makeup, using this Make Up Forever Concealer.
So of course I ordered it.
It’s pretty great.
I don’t use it all the time, just when I need a more finished face and a bit more coverage.
It works great covering the occasional blemish, and it hides a dark spot on my cheek that tends to show through everything.
Apply on the skin, let it sit for a minute and blend with a damp Beauty Blender.
Available in dozens of skin tones.

$30.00Dior Lip Glow Oil
Spending $40 on a lip oil is stupid, but I seriously love Dior’s Lip Glow Oil.
It’s like a grown up Juicy Tube (if you know, you know).
You get incredible shine, it’s not sticky and the colors are gorgeous.
Featured below is “cherry” and it’s so beautiful.

$40.00ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation
Ilia’s Skin Tint is my go-to skin base.
Technically it’s a foundation, but it’s light as air and hydrating.
You get light to medium coverage, it blends beautifully and the skin tone selection is perfection.
Start off with just a dab and add on as needed. For best results blend with a Beauty Blender.

$48.00Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream Plumping & Hydrating Moisturizer
For years you’ve heard my praise Tatcha’s line of skincare.
Their Camellia Cleansing Oil is the cornerstone of my nightly double cleanse, and, despite always trying new night creams, their Dewy Skin Cream cannot be beat.
All of their line is expensive so picking up a few when on sale is the way to go.

$70.00Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
Finally, the Rare Beauty Liquid Blush is divine. Maybe the best blush I’ve ever used.
And I only even know about it because of my daughters.
Available in a stunning collection of colors, you only need a tiny dab to look healthy and lite from within.
Highly recommend.
