Tuckernuck Style on an Amazon Budget: Cover-Up Dress

We love Tuckernuck style.

I frequently feature the brand and highly recommend their clothes and accessories. I have a good number of their styles hanging in my closet, and they are, by far, my favorite wardrobe pieces.

While I’m happy to splurge, I would go broke if I bought everything I wanted.

And not for nothing, but we’ll be paying for college, high school, and grade school in about a year. I can’t think about it too much or my brain will explode. So, I have to be responsible and find a way to save where it makes sense.

That’s why I love finding Tuckernuck-inspired pieces at affordable prices. You can create that same breezy, slightly preppy, elegant, elevated, feminine look for a whole lot less.

I’m starting this series with a look that’s perfect for an upcoming vacation or for those summer days spent by the pool or beach.

Tuckernuck Style on an Amazon Budget
Mini Dress, $31.99 | Teardrop Earrings, $15.99 | Straw BowKnot Clutch, $18.99 | Raffia Slides, $54.95

Let’s start with our key piece, this pretty lightweight “Mini Dress,” ideal as a cover-up or casual dress for lunch or dinner.

Maybe you’re at the beach and decided to get some food and drinks somewhere, or you go to a pool that’s attached to a club with a dress code. You just throw this on, and you are chic and stylish with zero effort.

Available in 15 patterns and in sizes S—XXL, I’m wearing the medium in pink. Right now, there is a 5% coupon at checkout.

Tuckernuck style is all about the right accessories, and the ones I found hit the mark.

First, I featured these resin chunky hoops last week (you can see them up close here), and they quickly became a best seller. They look like you found them in a specialty boutique, but they are under $20 and surprisingly light and comfortable to wear.

Then, I checked my closet to see what I already had in terms of shoes before I bought something new and remembered these simple slides I picked up last season from Steve Madden. They are just right, still classic, but add a trendy element and some texture to the look. I wore these a few times at the shore, where everything is just a little sandy, and they are still in excellent condition.

Available on Zappos for $55.

IF you bought the Jeffrey Campbell Linques sandal last summer, the “natural gold” color would look amazing with this too.

And last but not least, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I found this adorable straw Bow Knot Clutch for just $19

I cannot wait for summer, and pulling these looks together was so much fun.

If you like this kind of feature, please let me know in the comments. I have a few more posts in the queue to share over the next few weeks.

Happy Shopping!

Great! Would also love some more high end (if you can find them😌) so tied of cheap fashion. Gap/old Navy have some real but rare finds.

Absolutely! And keep in mind I still regularly shop and feature Tuckernuck, this is just to supplement the look. We also still feature Nordstrom, J.Crew, and higher price point brands like Mother Denim, etc. I try to keep the site a realistic mix of what's in my own closet. :)

I just ordered a Tuckernuck inspired dress from Amazon before I saw this post. Now I am not so nervous about it….

Yes! I look at all your Tuckernuck posting but haven’t been brave enough to pull the trigger because of their expense. This allows me to try their style & not break the bank if I don’t fall in love with the pieces I purchase. Please do more!

Dear Megan, This is a great opportunity for me to say how much I appreciate your posts. The variety and different approaches you think of, and your skill in explaining your style principles. As a Brit, I can't access many of the brands you feature, but I can compare with UK suppliers and adapt as needed. So thank you - and please do continue with great articles like this! best wishes from the UK.
