Smoothie Bowl
My kids had no concept of money this summer and racked up quiet the bill ordering $15 smoothie bowls—until I realized just how much they were spending.
Let’s just say I could’ve bought a Ninja™ Creami® Deluxe several times over by the time I caught on. Now, we make our own at home, and not only is it way more affordable, but it’s also incredibly easy.
The night before, just blend the following ingredients together:
- 1 scoop of your go-to vanilla protein powder
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups of frozen mixed berries (or any combination you love)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup of your favorite milk (I like vanilla almond milk)
Poor the mixture into the included canister and freeze overnight.
The next morning, take it out of the freezer and run in under hot water for a minute or two.
Then pop it in your Creami, push “Sorbet” and mix.
You might want to add a few tablespoons of milk to get the consistency you’re looking for. Pour in a bowl and add your favorite toppings, like coconut flakes, granola, fresh berries or chocolate chips.
Protein Ice Cream
For a simple and satisfying nighttime sweet treat, this protein ice cream couldn’t be easier to make.
The night before, mix 16 oz of your favorite protein milk with 1 tablespoon of sugar-free chocolate pudding. I like this extra chocolatey so I’ll also add a tablespoon of coco powder and splash of pure vanilla. Stir it well and pour the mixture into the provided Ninja™ Creami® Deluxe container up to the fill line, then freeze overnight.
When you’re ready to enjoy it, just pop the container into your Creami, press the “ice cream” button, and let it work its magic. For a softer texture, you can remix it, and if you’re feeling indulgent, add a sprinkle of chocolate candies on top!
