An Affordable, Lightweight Travel Tote

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered this puffy, quilted tote bag from BAGSMART for our summer at the beach. Since I won’t have a designated office space, I need a way to organize my work, and this was an easy and affordable solution.

Luckily, I had it in time for our trip to Florida, so I used it as my airplane bag, and I am positively delighted by it.

I thought I’d give you a quick “tour” so you can see it in action, in case you’re looking for something similar. I used it for travel, but you could use this as a work, gym or diaper bag, or just an extra bag to have on had for overflow things.

Keep in mind, I took these photos on my phone, in my hotel room, so they are not the best but very real life.

Affordable Travel Tote: BAGSMART Lightweight Puffy Tote Bag

I’ve had a lot of luck with BAGSMART, owning many of their travel/organizing products. Everything I’ve bought has been high-quality and well-priced.

I have several of their hanging toiletry bags that my girls and I regularly use when we travel. We also like their coordinating makeup bag.

When I first unboxed the tote, I was a little worried because it looked smaller than I expected. And since I was traveling with my husband and our oldest daughter I knew I was going to need space for all the “mom can you carry this too” stuff.

But I quickly realized I had more than enough room for everything I needed on our flight

Note: I checked a bag for this trip. The older I get the less I care about cramming everything into a small carry on. Checking makes packing easier, and I want my full size products ;). I just say a prayer over my luggage and hope it gets where I’m going.

What Fits Inside

It’s actually the perfect size with lots of well thought out compartments. And it is super lightweight. Once it was packed with everything I was shocked by how light it still was.

Let’s start with the front, it has a deep outside pocket that zips to keep your phone, and other essentials easily acceable. Then there are two pockets on either side that fit a water bottle.

I like the Stanley Quick Flip GO Water Bottle, it’s leak proof and keeps your water cold forever.

On the other side there is a strap to loop around your roller bag and does a good job keeping it in place.

I feel like I bring a lot of stuff and still have room to spare.

It comfortably fits my laptop, headphones, sunglasses, and regular glasses (both in clunky cases). I brought my belt bag and a slim card case instead of my big wallet, and I’ve mentioned these bags a dozen times, I use the medium-size one to organize my chargers.

They are a fantastic deal, you get 20 bags in various sizes for $9.

Oh and that little brown case is another awesome find. It’s technically a pill case, but I keep hair ties, ibuprofen, a couple packs of True Lime and some LMNT Electrolytes Packs.

Finally, a glimpse of the inside. You can see I added a bag insert I had laying around. You don’t need it, but I like the extra structure it gives. And there is still plenty of room for a book, make up etc.

And the top zips up from extra safety. Love it.

For me, this a 10/10. I’ll end up using it so much more than I thought!
