The Travel Products That Make Every Trip Easier

Travel is always more enjoyable when you’re comfortable and organized. Over the years, I’ve found a handful of products that help me pack smarter, stay organized, and make long travel days a little easier. They’re the things I reach for every time I pack because they eliminate the little hassles that can make a trip feel more stressful than it needs to.

Whether you’re heading away for a weekend or a few weeks, these are the travel problem solvers I think are worth bringing along.

Travel Problem Solvers You Never Knew You Needed

Parallelle The Traveller

Parallelle Traveler Bag | $85.00 – $135.00

If you travel frequently, especially if you’re staying in hotels, this is one of those products that’s worth the investment. Yes, it’s expensive for a makeup bag, but it keeps everything organized and easy to find. The sides fold down so it sits open on the bathroom counter, giving you easy access to your makeup, skincare, and brushes without digging through a pouch every morning. It’s one of those little upgrades that makes every trip feel easier.

Mark & Graham Italian Leather Glasses Case Keychain

Mark & Graham Italian Leather Glasses Case Keychain | $39.00

If you travel with sunglasses, this is such a smart little accessory. It clips onto the outside of your tote or carry-on, so your sunglasses are always within reach and protected. It’s a small detail, but one that makes traveling a little easier.

Keote Keychain Tote

Keote Keychain Tote | $85.00

Whether you’re bringing home souvenirs, heading to the beach, or simply need an extra bag during your trip, this folds down small enough to clip onto your keys or tuck into your purse until you need it. It takes up almost no space, holds much more than you’d expect, and has come in handy more times than I can count.

Infinity Pillow

Infinity Pillow | $55.00

If you’ve never found a travel pillow you actually like, this is worth a look. The flexible design can be twisted into different shapes to support your neck, lower back, or even your head against the window, so you can adjust it to however you’re sitting. It’s also soft enough to use once you get to your hotel, making long travel days a lot more comfortable.

Mersea Classic Travel Wrap

Shop the Mersea Classic Travel Wrap. | $141.00

I always travel with a wrap because it’s one of the most versatile things you can pack. This one folds into its matching bag to create a pillow for the plane, then transforms into an elegant wrap you’ll reach for throughout your trip. It’s perfect for chilly flights, cool evenings, over-air-conditioned restaurants, or anytime you need an extra layer.

Shop the Mersea Classic Travel Wrap.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones

Bose QuietComfort Headphones | $359.00

I never board a plane without noise-canceling headphones. They make it easier to watch a movie, listen to music or a podcast, and tune out the constant hum of the cabin. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and the battery easily lasts through a full day of travel.

Shop the Bose QuietComfort Headphones

LED Clip-On Book Light

Gritin LED Clip-On Book Light | $13.99

This lightweight, USB-rechargeable clip-on light is perfect for reading or working in dim cabins, hotel rooms, or late-night settings. It has three color temperatures and adjustable brightness so you can get just the right amount of light without disturbing anyone else. I use this to read or needlepoint on the plan when the lights are dimmed or in a hotel room when you don’t want to disturb anyone else.

BAGSMART Travel Toiletry Bag | $22.26

My favorite travel makeup bag is still the Parallele, but this is an excellent alternative at a much lower price. My girls all use it, and it keeps everything organized with a wide opening, plenty of compartments, and enough room for full-size products. If you’re looking for a practical travel bag without the higher price tag, this is the one I’d recommend.

I’ve tried a lot of travel bags over the years, and this continues to be one of my favorites. It’s thoughtfully organized without feeling bulky, fits easily under the seat, and has just the right amount of structure so everything stays where you put it. The trolley sleeve is the feature I appreciate most because it keeps the bag securely attached to my suitcase as I move through the airport.

Do you recommend the Medium or large bagsmart toiletry bag? I know I have to make that decision for myself but I seriously can't decide.

The BAGSMART toiletry bag is still probably one of my most favorite recommendations from your site! We just got back from a trip to NYC last night and I had it with us. It fits all of my own toiletries plus most of what my girls need (my older daughter now brings her own toiletry bag, but I'll be getting her one of these soon!) I love the 4 separate compartments so I can keep any leak-potential items together and away from everything else for a mess-free vacation! I now have some of these other recs in my cart!

Can you recomend a hard shell suitcase? I am at a loss here. There are 5billion on the interent and most come with good ratings. Loved yesterday's post on travel totes...picking one up this week.

I use the Away brand and really like it. I've had some of them for 5 - 6 years and they are still in like-new condition.

I'll second the Bagsmart compression packing cubes. I haven't really like other packing cubes until I tried these. We were gone five weeks and I had my Eagle Creek carry-on and Bric's weekender bag thanks to the packing cubes.

A tip that works for me is having a carry-on with two wheels. Most are now made with the four wheel spinner. You actually lose space with those. Also soft side is better for space.

So good! We are currently 2 hours from home on our way backnfrom a 15 day camping road trip from Alberta Canada to L.A. along the West coasr and back via the Grand Canyon. We made good use of portable chargers, laundry bags, and PACKING CUBES which are my new best friends. Love some of the other ideas on here, and may have to implement them on our next vacation. ♡

Hi! I'm looking for a recommendation on a good carry on travel suitcase. Lightweight, doesn't tip over and doesn't cost a fortune. I know, the holy grail of luggage. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks Megan! I was searching your site this weekend for travel tips - so a very timely post! I watched your video on packing. Do you have any recommendations for travel friendly clothes? I'll be gone for 17 days and am trying to bring only carry on.
