Snail Mucin is the new “it” product.

But the basics are that snail mucin is just what it sounds like and has fantastic benefits for any skin type.
It hydrates, boosts collagen, repairs the skin barrier, and, in small studies have shown it can even heal wounds.
It’s similar to hyaluronic serums (though a little on the slimy side) but has even more benefits.
I use both, layering the Snail Mucin over the Hyaluronic Serum in my routine.

The one skin issue I’ve always struggled to manage is redness.
With sensitive, fair skin, it can be very noticeable.
The La Roche Posay Toleriane Rosaliac AR Redness Reducing Moisturizer was recommended by a dermatologist and I’m really happy with it.
This is a morning moisturizer that I put on as my second to last step, before sunscreen.
It has a green tint to it, that helps immediately reduce the redness while also providing extra hydration and soothes the irritation.

It’s wild to think of what I used to do to manage breakouts in high school compared to my daughters’ arsenal of effective resources.
We would scrub our face with OXY pads or Sea Breeze, causing more harm than good.
These days, my girls pop on one of these patches at night and wake up with clear skin.
Remember, these are for occasional pimples, not severe acne.

Ladies, I have these on auto-delivery.
My skin is so sensative. It reacts to everything.

I’ve mentioned this sunscreen from EltaMD before, but it’s worth sharing again.
I’m about two months into using it and will never use another SPF again.
The precise formula is what you want. I tried the tinted, and as much as I love the clear, I loathe the tinted.
I like this for a few reasons. First, it absorbs well into your skin, leaving no residue.
Second, it helps calm down sensitive skin and helps fight acne.

Finally, I bought the Solawave Wand on a whim a while ago, and I’m really pleased.
There is a lot of buzz about red light therapy right now, and I am very tempted to order a red light mask.
