Early Fall Finds from Nordstrom

I spent entirely too much time scrolling Nordstrom for new fall fiinds.

And, frankly, a lot of their inventory looks like the same stuff we’ve been seeing since 2019 OR it’s overpriced and oversized.

So, I set out to find updated, reasonably priced items that will help build out your season wardrobe, and came up with 12 winners.

I have to note, things are selling out quickly, and I’m not sure why. But over the week I spent organizing this post, colors and sizes started selling out.

Tie Waist Crepe Sheath Dress

This simple shaped dress with defined waist could take you the office, dinner or even to church or services in any upcoming holiday and it’s selling out quickly.

Crop Trench Blazer

I am growing fond of this short jacket inspired by a trench.

Again, this is not a “crop” fit; it’s just short, hitting at your waist.

It reminds me of a moto jacket, and you can wear it the same way, as an extra layer for jeans in transition season with a simple tee and boots.

Raw Edge Tank

I bought this tank in the summer during the Nordstrom Sale and have worn it a dozen times already.

It sold out fast, but I’m happy to report it’s back in stock in black and white.

Mock Neck Cable Stitch Sweater

Once summer ends I go right to cozy season. I want to either be sitting on the beach or cuddled by a fire. There is no in between.

And now I’m excited for all the fall things, which requires sweaters in seasonal tones.

I ordered this mock neck sweater in “earth red.” Also available in white, tan, green, navy and chocolate – all beautiful and $69 or less (depending on the color).

Lea V-Neck Cardigan

If you like cardigans, this is a pretty one, in “fucshia” but it reads very pink, or pumice stone.

From Vero Mode, a great brand with well made knits at reasonable prices.

This one retails for $52 – almost an Old Navy price, in sizes XS -XL.

Mini Essential Saddle Bag

I LOVE this bag from Cole Haan.

I love the shape, the color (this is “British Tan), even the updated Cole Haan logo – it loos super elevated.

This is not oversized, rather, it’s compact, but fits everything you need for a day out.

Haley Basket Weave Vegan Leather Sling Bag

If you’re looking for a smaller, hands free bag, this woven faux leather sling bag is a fun update.

Puffy Faye Knocker Earrings

I bought my first pair of Jenny Bird earrings during the Nordstrom Sale and became a big fan.

So up picked up this pair of mixed metal knocker earrings, also available in all gold tone.

These are not inexpensive ($130) but I think they are work the price for the quality.

Good Legs Straight Leg Jeans

I’m a big fan of Good American Jeans.

They have stretch like NYDJ but a much sexier vibe.

I am 5’10 and these skim the top of my ankle, so I wear them this time of year with a suede heel. If you’re shorter than me, you could probably wear a boot with these.

There size scale goes from a 00 – 15 – which is a 35 waist, and they retail for $99.

Original Play Tall Waterproof Rain Boot

I ordered these to replace my very old and much loved original Hunters.

This version is lighter weight, with a slimmer silhouette.

I bought the blue (below) but am wishing I had a reason to have the red too.

Blazer Low Platform Sneaker 

We feature a lot of clean and simple white sneakers, but it you want something a bit extra, I like the Blazer Sneaker from Nike.

They have fun but still neutral textural elements, and maintain the low profile that works with most jeans.

Finally, for a comfort focused, low heel in a sophisticated style, try the Banks Pump from Naturalizer.
