Our September Capsule is a lovely mix of neutrals with a pop of trending icy blue, with pieces in a range of price points.
Some of these pieces will look familiar, others we’re introducing. All of these will show up in our content throughout the season.
So, let’s dive in because there are items I want you to take advantage of, starting with our featured trousers.
12 Piece September Capsule Wardrobe
These pants are from Banana Republic Factory for only $45 PLUS and an extra 20% Off at check out in sizes 0 – 20 in regular, petite, and tall.
Aside from the price, what’s incredible about them is the fit. These have a flat front and some elastic at the back waist, which works for all body types but is particularly helpful if you are apple-shaped. The elastic gives you that little extra room while keeping the front of the trousers smooth.
Available in four colors: chocolate, black, navy and grey.
Next, we have everyone’s favorite bootcut jeans from Gap Factory. I’m receiving glowing reviews on these, with readers saying the fit is better than pricey designers.
I agree, and they offer various lengths, something high-end brands don’t do.
Next, tops, that all happen to be knits.
Starting with a sleeves sweater vest. This will not be for everyone (AND THAT’S OK!) But a sleeveless sweater can be a fun option in transition season.
Of course, this is a trend we’re not spending on. I like this option from Old Navy for $32.
We have an upcoming feature showing more ways to wear this, but it looks adorable on its own with high-waisted pants.
Next, I picked this cashmere cardigan from J.Crew to highlight the icy blue color you’ll see a lot of this fall.
It looks GORGEOUS with chocolate brown. I would wear this buttoned with only a tank underneath.
I like it paired with the chocolate trousers.
Then, we add shoes and accessories.
These Marc Fisher suede block heel sandals are best sellers, well-priced, and fit well. I have them in black suede and just ordered them in chocolate.
You can wear them with full-length or ankle-length trousers, skirts, dresses, and jeans. I love them.
Next, a flat option from the comfort brand Naturalizer for $120 combines a ballet flat and a loafer. The pointed toe helps elongate your leg, and the gold accents elevate your look.
We’re featuring “nude”; they also come in black.
For a bag, we’ve been loving Coach for simple, well-made, clean-lined options, and this shoulder bag is stunning. I have a version from a year ago and carry it almost daily in the fall.
It’s a winner with lots of neutral color options and minimal hardware.
Then I added two earrings.
One from Julie Vos to help bring ice blue into your looks.
And this pair of updated hoop huggies. I also bought these at the Nordstrom Sale, and they are back on discount. They have been in frequent rotation lately.
Finally, I buy sunglasses in two places: Amazon for trend-right, inexpensive pairs, and when I’m feeling bougie, Saks Off 5th. They seriously have the BEST selection of designer sunglasses for a fraction of the price. I will NEVER spend retail for a pair of designer sunnies.
