Yesterday was another whirlwind. It started bright and early with a meeting at my daughters’ high school, going over plans for a fundraiser I’m organizing for their crew team. From there, the day just kept rolling non-stop.
But I have to say, I did it all in a cute and casual outfit—lots of pieces I’ve recently highlighted, including this waffle-stitch top that nails that Tuckernuck look for a fraction of the price.
And even though I talk about this stuff for a living, it amazes me every time how slipping into real clothes and adding a swipe of lipstick can instantly lift my spirits and boost my energy.
What I’m Wearing: 30 Tuckernuck-Inspired Top
Last week, I featured this mockneck top in our Amazon Holiday Finds roundup, and it’s a fantastic piece. It’s lightweight and has a nice stretch, making it easy to move in. It does run a bit small—I’m wearing a medium here. The sleeves have a touch of gathering at the shoulder for a pretty finish, so it works beautifully on its own but would also look darling layered under a vest.
My jeans are a splurge—they’re the Hiker Hover Straight Leg Jeans from Mother. They have more of a relaxed, girlfriend fit than they appear on the model, which I love, and they’re incredibly comfortable. At 5’10”, these hit just above my ankles, making them ideal to pair with a low-profile sneaker.
Speaking of sneakers, I’m wearing the Veja Esplar Bicolor Leather Low-Top Sneakers.
I’ve also shared this tote before, which is perfect for lugging around essentials like files and your laptop.
Finally, my pearl “cage” earrings are another Amazon find I’ve been wearing on repeat—they add a subtle, chic touch to any outfit.
