Early Spring Finds from Gap Factory

I happily wear shorts—it’s simply too hot sometimes not to. Today, I’m sharing two options that are incredibly easy to wear and stylish.

First up: the High Rise SuperSoft Utility Shorts. I’m 5’10” and wearing the size small. The fit is fantastic, and I love the length—they hit just right, not too short, not too long. They come in seven colors, including two denim washes, a soft tan, sunny yellow, crisp white (as shown), and a chic blue-and-white railroad stripe.

I styled them with this Ribbed Scoopneck Top, which is currently on sale for under $20. It’s the perfect simple layer—wear it on its own with your everyday accessories and a cute pair of sneakers for an effortless look.

But for this outfit, I wanted to add a bit more structure. When I wear shorts, I often like to pair them with a longer sleeve top—either elbow-length or full sleeve—to create a more balanced silhouette. This time, I opted for a lightweight jacket to pull the look together and add a polished touch.

They’re calling it a square neckline, but it’s not harsh—there’s a soft, feminine curve to it that makes it really flattering. I was especially surprised that I didn’t need a bra (which never happens!), but if you do, a standard strapless will work perfectly for support and comfort.

I styled it with strappy, neutral-to-me sandals, but you could easily wear it with anything from heels to white sneakers. And if you need a layer, just throw on a cardigan or a denim jacket to complete the look.
