6 Classic White Sneakers for Women in 2024

I purchased a pair of Nine West Layna's last year. Every time I wear them someone says, "Boy, those are white shoes!" I have become very self-conscious about wearing them now.

I wore white Keds - canvas and leather - for many years, but as I got older, found that I needed more arch support (very high insteps !). About 5 years ago, I bought a pair of navy Supergas, but found that the seam hit me on an odd place, and rubbed skin off my little toes at the cuticle line. Them I tried the Sperry Crest Vibe - they are extremely comfortable on me, and I loved the look of the leather laces and how they allowed me to slip on and go. I’ve had several pairs in navy, but the white is more of an off-white, so back to the drawing board! After you and several other sites recommended the Vionics Winny, and in anticipation of an upcoming trip to Ireland, I ordered them several weeks ago. I like the fit, and the insoles have incredible arch support; what isn’t obvious in the pictures, or mentioned in the website’s description, is that the trim is a somewhat shiny, croc embossed leather. I don’t love it, but not sure anyone will notice except me!

Love this! I just bought a pair of Vionic white canvas sneakers, and LOVE them! I went out on a limb buying shoes online, because normally I MUST try them on or count on having to return them. The Vionic fit right out of the box, no breaking in period whatsoever! I have the Winny leather style in my wish list when it starts getting cooler again. Texas is too hot for leather in the summer! Thank you for looking at vionic! They are the only shoe brand I can wear with consistency. Even other “comfort” brands don’t work for me. Support first, then cushion! I bought the Winny sneaker in white several days before your post. They have been very comfortable for what is usually a very flat shoe. I would recommend it to anyone who struggles. I’ve had the Supergas for a couple of years and like them, but wanted a leather pair for a more polished look at work. Just bought a leather pair of Cole Haans and can’t wait to wear them!

Megan, Just saw this post on the white sneaker, I always think they look so cute on others. My issue, I always think they make my feet look big??? Not sure they are appropriate for a Mid 60's??

What are your thoughts on the black (Ecco, similar to Cole Han) or slip on nude ( Soffit), How would you style those?

I am a fan of Sperry sneakers, white leather uppers and very comfortable. They also have a canvas sneaker in Navy Blue and Green.

What are your thoughts on the Everlane Forever Sneaker - I've been impressed with their jeans and their committment to the environment. At $98.00 CAD, they are a great price point. Do they fit the brief?

Thanks for this round up! I bought the Cole Haan Grand Courts last year and love them. I'm also loving the Vionic Paisley and the Naturalizer Macayla this year :) But when I just want a clean, all white sneaker, the Grand Courts are my go to! I am considering picking up a pair of the Vejas as well...I will have quite the sneaker collection! How many pairs of sneakers are too many? *Asking for a friend ;)*

I have very narrow feet. I found cute and reasonably priced sneakers from Naturalizer. They are the “Jane” series. I bought 3 pairs at about $70 each. Shoes are tough for folks with narrow feet, especially sneakers. Nordstrom and Zappos carry naturalizer brand.

The timing of your article is funny...I just pulled out my new all white classic Keds out of the closet and have been wearing them almost non-stop! And I think they are so darn cute!!!! And comf! They make me feel young again!!! I've had them almost 2 years and didn't wear them because I didn't want to get them dirty...LOL...but now I'm hooked. :)

I love a white sneaker for spring and summer, but I find most brands only offer medium width. Taos has been good for my difficult feet, but I’d love any other options you know. Wide width shoes that are cute are sooooo hard to find.

Love this blog! For white sneakers, I'm not sure why you subbed the Cole Haan man made for the Mindi Lace Up? Unless your reader wants to go Vegan, the Mindi Lace Up is a better shoe. . . IMHO. ;)

I purchased the Mindi when you highlighted them in your Perfect White Sneaker post and they have become my go to. Leather instead of plastic for starters. They clean up great! Comfy! Cute! Low profile. Lightweight. In fact, I just purchased 2 more pair because my original ones are beginning to show sole wear and I don't ever want to be without these shoes again! I think they are superior to the classic Cole Haan.

My question is always, what socks do you wear with these? None? Funky? I have yet to find no show socks that don't actually show with this lower cut, and don't create a rub between the shoe and my heel (= blisters). Maybe a post on socks is warranted ? :)

I wear a pair of Lacoste all white tennis shoes & I love them. I must say,they are a little heavy,but so classy.

I purchased some last season which were way ore expensive than I would usually pay. I like them but still haven’t mastered the art of keeping them clean.

I was inspired to put my black Nike's away for the summer and switch to some all white sneakers. I tried on everyone I could find at DSW. Purchased the Adidas Grand Court for $59.00, they are so cushy like walking on clouds. Thanks for the inspiration.

You are so right about the boot cut with sneakers looking frumpy. I wore Keds with boot cut jeans around Savannah out of necessity. I did not like the photos of me in that combo at all. Even a sandal with a little heel would be preferable.

I have a pear shape and heavy legs. Bootcut jeans are the best fit for me. Straights are too tight through the lower leg. I’m 5’9” with a 34” inseam. Heels are not an option as I have had knee replacement surgery and anything over 1-1 1/2” throws my knee off balance. What footwear do you suggest? Thanks!

Is this a style saved for younger women? I will be 70 this summer and would like to wear them....at least, the more conservative Keds style.
