Your 12 Favorite Beauty Finds of 2023

We’re back with another year-end round-up, today, featuring the top reader favorite beauty finds of 2023.

From cream-based beauty, viral skincare, ancient tools and designer splurges, if you’re a beauty enthusiast like me, you’ll love the list below. 😉

Your 12 Favorite Beauty Finds of 2023

Merit Bronze Balm Sheer Sculpting Bronzer

The Merit Bronze Balm Sheer Sculpting Bronzer ($30) is one of my favorite beauty finds of the year, too. In fact, I’ve been enjoying a lot of Merit Beauty.

I use this as a subtle contour to add some dimension to my face and a bronzer when I want a kiss of color.

I’m still a big Fenty and Hollo Bronzer fan when I want more depth in the warmer months.

Since I’m fair to their color, Quince works great on me. But they have an excellent inclusive selection that works for the deepest skin tone.

Lip Glow Oil

I know $40 for lip oil is ridiculous.

But the DIOR Lip Glow Oil is a glossy, glamorous indulgence that makes me feel like the fun girl I used to be, not the chaotic mess I am most days.

Available in eight colors, including clear. I have raspberry and pink, which bring out your lips’ natural tone.

This is also a much sought-after stocking stuffer for the teens in your life. 😉

Lip Power Long Lasting Lipstick

Another glamorous lip option that you loved as much as me is the Armani Lip Power Long Lasting Lipstick. This is DRAMATIC so be warned.

Available in over 20 colors, I wear Four Hundred – Neutral Red – a stunning, bold, blue-based, Taylor Swift red.

Brow Definer

Defined eyebrows are the key to bringing life and structure back to your face. S

o, no matter what I’m doing, I shape and fill in my brows every day. For me, it’s the difference between looking bright and youthful or tired and droopy.

And the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer is my hands down favorite. The angled tip of the pencil gives you the control you need to create a natural look, and it has a much needed spoolie on the other side helps blend out.

Available in 12 shades for $26.00.

SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant

Thanks you YOUR recommendations, I tried the Paula’s Choice SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant and joined the tens of thousands of people how rave about it.

It’s become a staple in my routine and relatively affordable (considering how much skincare can be), plus it lasts a while. I’m still using the bottle I bought back in September.

Vitamin C Face Serum

Speaking of affordable, the cost of most Vitamin C serums are exorbinate. But the TruSkin Vitamin C Face Serum is $20 and highly effective.

It’s a wonderful option to start using Vitamin C, in the morning, on dry skin – see more here.

Hair Wax Stick

To tame flyaways and get that sleek ponytail look, you need a wax stick.

This is a staple in my house full of girls. We use it all the time, for sports, to get that clean bun for the gym, and even for more dressed up looks.

Also a fantastic stocking stuffer for teens, and it’s only $7.

Face Towelette

I love these towelettes from Clean Skin Club so much I have them on auto delivery, and am thrilled that so many of you also discovered them.

I have very sensitive skin, so these help keep it clean and free of germs and bacteria.

Yes, you could use a bath towel, but these are easier and guaranteed to be clean when I need them.

Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Hyaluronic Acid Serum should be part of your daily routine to provide hydration, but it doesn’t have to be overly complicated or expensive.

La Roche-Posay makes high-quality products that don’t break the bank, and their Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum is straightforward, effective, and works on sensitive skin.

Probably why it’s been on our Reader Favorites list two years in a row.

UV Clear Face Sunscreen, SPF 46

Oh, this is a good one.

The Elta MD UV Clear Face Sunscreen with SPF 46 came highly recommended by a top plastic surgeon, and it quickly became my go-to.

I’ve stopped using moisturizer with SPF and opted instead for an additional step.

This goes on white but absorbs fast and does pill or leave a residue.

You want this option, NOT their tinted moisture, which is terrible.

But their Clear Face Sunscreen is a 10/10.

Snail Mucin

Snail Mucin had a big year in 2023. It was the buzz of the beauty world.

At first, I wasn’t sold, but just yesterday morning, I realized I was about to finish my second bottle.

It’s fantastic. Not only does it help hydrate ( use it AFTER hyaluronic serum and before thick moisturizer and night cream and stimulates collagen production. I also find it healing for when my skin is irritated or inflamed, it almost cools it down.

And it retails for $25 but is on sale for $14. For reference, I’ve gone through two bottles since June.

Stainless Steel Gua Sha

Gua Sha has gone viral on Instagram and TikTok, but it’s actually part of a traditional Chinese medicine.

Beauty influencers claim it will “snatch” your face – which means tighten and define. I’m not going to make as bold of a claim, but I will tell you I keep a stainless steel Gua Sha in the shower and use it a few times a week.

If you puff easily like I do, or you’ve overindulged in some holiday cheer, this helps with circulation, drains your lymphatic system, and gets the fluid moving.

And it’s only $8.00.
