What to Buy at Tuckernuk

Tuckernuck is my favorite boutique-style online retailer offering a curated selection of modern, classic pieces that you can’t find in popular mainstream stores.

Their aesthetic is a mix of east coast preppy and timeless basics. The quality is fabulous. So if you are looking to adopt a buy less but better mentality this season, Tuckernuck may be an excellent resource.

Honestly, I wish I could put one of everything in my closet.

So today, I thought I would introduce you to the brand if you are unfamiliar and share some of my favorite pieces for fall.

Here, I focus on tops, bags, and accessories, and in the warm weather, I love their dresses.

Unlike other retailers, they are not giving away their stock by slashing prices.

Instead, they are a small, woman-owned business, so inventory is limited, but it’s well worth checking out to add some uniqueness to your wardrobe.

Their quality is well worth the price, ranging from affordable finds under $100 to more investment-level splurges.

Stripe Knit Polo

Navy Striped Polo Sweater

Stripe Knit Polo, $138

If you want to create some kind of “uniform,” their tops are a fabulous option. Paired with your favorite straight leg bottom and stylish flats and you are set for the day.

Sizes are XS/S, M/L and XL/XXL. I wear the M/L. Available in stripe (above), and solid black, red, oatmeal and navy. I ordered the black.

Polo Sweatshirt

Green Polo Sweatshirt

Polo Sweatshirt, $98

They are calling this a “sweatshirt”and in theory, it is,  but it is the chicest sweatshirt I own. While it’s certainly comfy, it also makes an outfit with it’s stand up collar and bracelet length sleeve.

Available in XS/S, M/L and XL/XXL in green (above), black, oatmeal, and red.

Sweater Poncho

Cream Sweater Poncho

Sweater Poncho, $98

I mean, how stinking cute?

This one-size poncho is under $100, available in cream (above) or black. It’s ideal for this time of year when you need a light layer, and you plan on keeping that layer on all day. I would wear it just like the model, maybe swap out the bottoms for your Spanx Faux Leather Leggings for some add zhush.

Leather Trim Poncho

Black Leather Trim Polo

Leather Trim Poncho, $128

This leather trim poncho has my heart. It makes even your inexpensive light wash jeans look elegant. There are a few color options here, but I would keep it to either the black (above) or the camel with black leather trim.

Also, one size, you can layer this over anything. I would keep it simple with a long-sleeved black tee.

Paperclip Chain Necklace

Gold paperclip chain link necklace

Paperclip Chain Necklace, $48

This fall, gold and gold-tone jewelry are a huge trend. The more classic, the better. Tuckernuk has a wide range of prices including a wonderful selection under $100. Like this paperclip chain necklace for $48. Wear it alone or as a layer. I also love these gold hoops for under $50 if necklaces aren’t your thing.

Chunky Chain Link Necklace

Gold Chunky Chain Link Necklace

Chunky Chain Link Necklace, $78

For a bolder look, this chunky chain link necklace is another trend-right piece. You can wear this under a collar or over a turtleneck.

Tortoise Sunglasses

Tortoise Sunglasses

Tortoise Sunglasses, $32

Having a crummy day style-wise?

These Tortoise Sunglasses can turn any look around. Just pull your hair back, add your favorite lipstick and you’ll make even a basic sweatsuit look chic and intentional. For $32 they are an easy and affordable way to elevate your look.

Megan, thanks for this! So happy to know about this retailer…I thought I was familiar with many brands but this one got by me. I haven’t even been to their website yet but I know I’m going to love it.

And just want you to know how much I appreciate all you do. I don’t often comment, but I do follow you closely and get many great ideas!
