Over-the-knee boots have been popular for quite a while. But I like to take my time with trends, see how they evolve and then decide if and when to use them.
Because most of our lives in no way support needing more than one pair of these, I wanted to pick one that was versatile, affordable, and easy to incorporate into my uneventful suburban life.
So when I started to hear rumblings of (unsponsored) praise for these tan suede over the knee boots for under $50 from Amazon on social media, I decided to give them a try.
Here’s Me Giving them a Try
First of all, I will never be comfortable posting pictures of myself, but thank you to everyone for all the nice comments. I know the pictures are helpful, even though all I hear in my head when I see them, “who do you think you are?”
For some context, I am 5’10, but I wouldn’t consider my legs extra long given my height. However, I found these on Pop of Pippi’s Instagram and she is teeny and looks fantastic in them.
Are they the best quality? No. They do the trick though, which is to let you wear a trend while it’s popular without feeling committed to it and spending a small fortune.
They are surprisingly comfortable. The block heel gives nice support and they are not too high making them super easy to walk in.
I paired them with a new go-to jean, these Joe’s Curvy Skinny Ankle Jean I found at Off 5th. (Still available for $90 – they usually retail for $189). I LOVE these. They are high waisted, with nice stretch.
I am going to wear them a few different ways this weekend and share some ideas in my Instagram stories. Be sure to follow along on Instagram to see more real life photos and inspiration 🙂
