The Style Six is a monthly series featuring six items you can wear now as an outfit, or break apart and build on throughout the season. My main goal with our posts is to get you inspired, maybe see something in a new way, or introduce you to a new outfit combination
Today, we’re creating a look you can wear to a holiday event, and then carry the pieces into other outfits over the course of the holiday.
The Style Six: Holiday Ready
Wrap Dress, $39: I featured this wrap dress (in a pattern, here) in the Fall. The fit is divine and you can’t beat the price. For the holiday, pick it up in red, or grab the black for a classic, go-to dress.
Clutch, $15: Remember when we first discovered wristlets? How great were they? You could keep all your stuff on you and still be able to hold your drink. Genius. I found this one for under $20 at Target and it’s perfect to stay hands free at a cocktail party.
Earrings, $55: I love so many pieces from Tuckernuck, but many of their costume pieces are on the expensive side. These have a subtle animal print and are so chic. Wear them here, or, with a black turtleneck sweater to really show them off.
Teddy Coat, $249 (Sale $186): A few of my friends showed up to my birthday party in a version of this coat and they looked perfect for a chilly night out in the city (Philly). Throw it over a dress, or wear it with jeans and pumps.
Pump, $64: These pumps get rave reviews from readers for their long wearing comfort. Right now, there are over a dozen colors at various discounts. Pick up the black suede if you don’t already have a pair and every time you wear them, you’ll be so happy you picked them up.
Polish, $10: Sometimes, a good manicure in a festive red is all it takes to kick up your look. Big Apple Red by OPI is my absolute favorite. It’s a classic, blue-based red that works with everything.
