Surprising Finds at Athleta for Early Fall

Athleta is by no means a new brand, but I often overlook it in a world full of athleisure options. So I spent some time shopping it and discovered it has an assortment of polished pieces that can take you from a workout to lunch to a zoom call with total ease.

What you might not know is that Athleta is also a size-inclusive brand, offering XXS – 3X in regular, petite, and tall. So unlike some of their over-priced competitors, they are offering quality items for all shapes and sizes.

7/8 Leggings

7/8 Leggings, $98

I wear all kinds of leggings, from inexpensive pairs at Old Navy to the always popular Zella leggings. Of course, you don’t have to spend for a quality pair, but if you wear them as frequently as I do, the 7/8 leggings from Athleta are a fantastic investment for under $100.

There are sizes for everyone. You can pick these up in any color, in regular, petite and tall, sizes XXS – 3X

They wash and wear well and never lose their “grip” on you.

I ordered a couple of fresh pairs for fall to pair with the Nike Sneakers we featured yesterday to create a quick and easy weekday morning uniform.

Collared Shirt

Collared Shirt, $98

It’s a well documented fact that I love a crisp white button down. But I had no idea I could get one at Athleta. This is a slightly oversized style, that you can pair with practically any bottom. It’s a great option if you’re still living the hybrid work life.

What makes it different is the fabric. It’s made from recycled polyester, a material sourced from post-consumer plastic bottles. It’s wonderfully comfortable and breathable.

Available in sizes XXS – 3X.

Dance Wrap

Dance Wrap, $79

You can easily go from workout to lunch with this soft-as-a-cloud wrap top. It’s a pretty and polished alternative to throwing on a sweatshirt. Designed to tie in the front or back, it’s available in four colors in XXS – 3X.

Striped Tee

Striped Tee, $44

I prefer a light tee shirt paired with shorts for morning walks instead of tight workout tanks, and this one is my absolute favorite. The fit is just right, and it has a nice sleeve. I picked it up in the pink (above) and the white stripe.

Available in regular, tall and petite, in XXS – 3X

Slim Wallet

Slim Wallet, $25

They call this the “Coffee Run Wallet,” and for a good reason. You can carry just what you need for a quick errand or to run to the gym. I bought one for myself and my oldest daughter. Available in an array of colors – it would make a lovely under $25 gift around the holidays too. 🙂

  1. You lost me at $98 leggings. Can get great leggings for quarter of the price at old Navy, champion at Target and on Amazon. Nope, saying under $100 and then the price is $98. Come on. Loved your post til now

    • If you spend any time on this site you’d know that I constantly promote Old Navy Leggings. Everyone’s budget is different and I work really hard to offer options to everyone.

  2. Megan- I’m a huge fan of Athleta and have been for many years. I can highly recommend the Brooklyn pant and short (if you are ok with the inseam).
Also great dresses, sports bra’s, swim wear (tankini’s that can we worn as tops in humid weather) – they are my go to for these.
As a petite I appreciate the inclusive sizing (especially in raincoats – so hard to find!).
Fit note: the tops, even petite do run a little long for those that are new to Athleta.
