Sunday Sales

Welcome to Sunday Sales, our weekly roundup of the best deals from your favorite stores.

Today, we’re at Tuckernuck.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Tuckernuck. I even love the pieces that don’t quite fit my style.

Yesterday, as I was browsing their site, I was excited to find so many incredible items on sale—several of which I already own and love.

So, I’ve rounded up the best of the best from the sale, with plenty of sizes still available (XXS–XXXL). Be sure to check the reviews, as sizing can vary—some items run true to size, while others may fit smaller or more generously.

Happy shopping!

Sunday Sales: Tuckernuck

MacLeod Plaid Button Down Shirt

The perfect red plaid for fall.

Wear with dark trouser jeans, black coated bottoms or winter white pants. Would be gorgeous in a family photo. Mom wears this and everyone else is in navys and greens.

On sale for $90.

1

Colorblock Ribbed Sleeve V-Neck Cardigan

LOFT

$90.00

Blackwatch Saranac Shirt

The subtle gathering at the shoulder and curved collar, makes this shirt extra special.

It’s super soft and comfortable to wear, with lovely fit.

Pair with any jeans or black bottoms. Love.

On sale for $97.

Deep Lagoon Chloe Dress

Our oldest is graduating from high school this spring, and the calendar is quickly filling up with events. I picked up this outfit to wear to one of them—whether it’s the end-of-year banquet or her actual graduation, it’s perfect for the occasion!

Originally $298, on sale for $178.

Deep Lagoon Chloe Dress

Chartreuse Natalia Blouse

I can’t pull off this color, but OMG, I think it’s absolutely STUNNING!

The pleated detail down the front, the sharp shoulders, and the elegant draping are just gorgeous. Pair it with dark denim or rich chocolate brown for a chic look. Since it’s slightly sheer, a neutral cami underneath is a must.

On sale for $141.

XXS – XXXL

Navy and Ivory Striped Cropped Bexley Sweater

No surprise here—a striped sweater went straight into my cart!

This navy and ivory one is 100% cotton, with a button detail on the side and a slightly boxy fit. It’s a year-round staple for me.

I love pairing it with shorts in the summer (especially in early September) and with any denim piece all year long.

On sale for $150.

5

Navy and Ivory Striped Cropped Bexley Sweater

Tuckernuck

$150.00

XXS – XXXL

Black Clasp Shoulder Kaley Top

I got this to pair with my black coated jeans, styled almost exactly like the model on the product page.

While it’s definitely a statement piece, and you won’t have endless ways to wear it, I love having a top like this for a night out with friends. It’s perfect when you want something a little different, instead of always reworking your everyday workwear.

On sale for $98.

6

Black Clasp Shoulder Kaley Top

Tuckernuck

$98.00

Brown and Grey Fair Isle Loch Sweater

We highlighted this sweater last year in our Fair Isle round-up as the splurge-worthy option at $298, but now it’s on sale for $134!

It’s a true winter essential, made with 75% wool, so if you live somewhere with freezing winters or spend time skiing, this will be your go-to for staying warm and cozy.

7

Brown and Grey Fair Isle Loch Sweater

Tuckernuck

$134.00

Green Ikat Kenzo Dress

I own this dress in pink Ikat and can’t even tell you how much I (1) love it and (2) get complimented on it. I wore it constantly last season—from Key West in January to end-of-school-year events, and back to Florida in June. It’s such a versatile piece, and I’m so glad to have it in my closet year-round.

Right now, the green version is on sale for $98. With green being such a big color for next spring and summer, I couldn’t resist grabbing it!

8

Green Ikat Kenzo Dress

Tuckernuck

$98.00

XXS – XXXL

White Mini Carolina Caftan

I also own their Mini Carolina Caftan, and it’s hands down my favorite and most-worn summer cover-up.

Since the pool we frequent is at our country club, I like to look a bit more polished than I would at the beach—especially since I’m more “water adjacent” and not one to swim.

This caftan is perfect! It’s lightweight, the windowpane pattern is sophisticated, and the fit is just right. Plus, it’s ideal for accessorizing, so grab your oversized sunnies and bold jewelry for a chic, effortless look.

On sale for $62 – get it you won’t regret it.

French Sole Baton Heels

French Sole holds the title for the best-selling shoe in all of TWDL history with their Leather Alibi Sandals, so I didn’t hesitate for a second before picking up these classic cap-toe heels.

They’re incredibly comfortable with their lower heel, easy to wear, and offer a lot of style impact. Plus, they’re the perfect blend of on-trend and timeless—exactly the kind of purchase I love.

Sizes are still available, and they’re now marked down from $198 to $158!

EXTRA-Good stuff this fall, Ms Megan! Just got my fall Talbots catalog in the mail! It is a fresh change from the stuff Ive been saying NO to for years from them! I bought solely Talbots for years—in the 90’s til about ‘03. Then I struggled to find a style that is my size 0-2, 5’6.5” that is not ‘too young’ but not “old fart”! Until i found your daily effort, i was blindly going about it. Thank you for all the guidance and help! Just thot you might take a look at the new Talbots, maybe you’ll see something there…the suede cropped jacket on p7–whew! It’s also 30% off till 9-29! Thank you again~!

Thank you very much for the post from Dillard’s! A wonderful store, pretty much the best in this neck of the woods! Appreciate attention directed their way.

I’m wondering if you have any thoughts on why manufacturers seem to be constructing women’s dresses short-waisted. Many women are full-busted, which exacerbates the effect. The white dress you’ve featured is the look I’m referring to. Contrasting is the pink dress with a lovely long line going to the dropped waist. The short-waist dresses seem to fit nearly everyone poorly…your thoughts?

Thank you for the great recommendations!

Thank you for the styling tip on the smock waisted top and shorts. I always second guess my style choices when shorts are involved.

I just got the Banana Republic straight leg black pants you recently recommended. Of course they are way too long. As a size 12 60 year old what length do you recommend. There are so many opinions out there. At the ankle bone, slightly below? I usually wear shoes/sandals of 1 to 2 1/2 inches height. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

Love these pretty dresses! Would you give some advice on how to wear a spring(ish) dress for Easter and other occasions when it is still cold and possibly snowing in Ohio? Boots don't seem right but bare legs and sandals don't work! Thank you!!

Hi, Megan! Thanks for this - I have a Nordstrom gift card from a Christmas gift return burning a hole in my pocket 😉 Question: I went on a blazer kick last year, and have 3 new blazers, 2 wool and 1 corduroy. I get bored with button downs all the time, and am having a hard time finding layering cowl/funnel/mock/turtlenecks in a fine rib or jersey fabric. Suggestions?

Hi Ruby, I am a Canadian gal myself, and feel your pain! I am lucky that I live close to the Detroit border, so returns are not too bad. I rarely return, as I try on the clothing for fit, then purchase, but if I really love an item of clothing, I have it tailored. I am not sure where you live, but there are some American clothing sites that cater to Canadians, without all the hassle of paid returns, and free shipping as well depending on the purchase amount. I am not a fan of unnatural fibres like polyester, as my body gets too hot, and the clothing simply pills, especially with all the blended materials, so look for retailers that sell better, quality clothing, with a simple online search. Also, Poshmark has some great brand name items at low cost and new too!

Hi, I read your segments faithfully and fully enjoy your ideas and recommendations. Would you be able to provide info on where to buy similar items featured in CANADA? We are your Northern neighbors and also like to purchase many items you feature. Thanks very much!!

Unfortunately, I don't even have a baseline knowledge of Canadian-based brands and it is truly just me running this site.

I enjoy your posts! I found your comment interesting about using a sequined blazer for multiple festive events over several years. I feel stymied with buying new fun items that might be More expensive because I'm concerned they might be a "wear once" item. You helped me see that some might be things I could use for a number of occasions. I'm wondering if you might do a post (or series of posts) about holiday party clothing "basics" (many of which we may already have) and how to mix in new holiday clothing items. It would be helpful to get some ideas of things we could buy that would complement things like 1) black velvet pants, 2) black velvet blazer, 3) sequin sweater, 4) midi pleated satin skirt (black or other color).

Thanks for the posts on express items. I always forget about that store. I ordered the sweater with the bows. A nice festive piece to add to my holiday wardrobe. Thanks for the recommendations.

Does the animal print blouse have shoulder pads? Or a puff sleeve? I am very broad shouldered, so those dont work for me

I bought the short trench coat in the classic khaki a few weeks ago and could have easily sized down (this does not usually happen to me with JCrew products). I ended up keeping it because I needed it for a trip, and I really do like the way it looks and hangs on me. Would recommend and now I kind of want the navy version!

This is a really nice purse. Please do a column on smallish purses soon, especially ones (other than black) that go well with denim of various shades.

Thank you!

I love the extra high-wasted power chill skort. But I really really like the T-shoes the model is wearing with the skort. Do you know the brand?

I love how you find us such good deals! I think I'm going to get the Old Navy top and get some use out of my strapless bra. For heaven sake, it just sits in my drawer.

Thanks for all you do for us!
