One of my most favorite aspects of my job is simply watching fashion, style and trends evolve. I love to see what is presented as options and then what we as consumers collectively deemed as the best.
I also love when a classic becomes a trend, which is the case with the meteoric rise of red as the color of summer.
It’s everywhere, it’s easy to wear and if you add some pops into your wardrobe now, you’ll wear them until they fall apart.
Because even when the trend fades, red will always be a classic.
I thought it would be fun to round up some fabulous red wardrobe pieces, from dresses to shoes an everything in between.
Summer 2024 Trends: Pops of Red
Dress
Let’s start with dresses. In the summer, there is nothing easier than throwing on a dress, and when it’s red, you can easily dress it up or down.
Below is one of my favorite Tuckernuck dresses. I have this in white and just ordered the red.
It’s incredibly flattering and lightweight but still has a lovely structure and sits away from the body, so it’s great for hot summer days and nights.
Because I’m tall, I wear this with flat sandals, specifically this pair from Jeffery Campbell, but you can absolutely wear heels.
Available in eight color ups in XXS -XXXL.

Novelty Tops
I’m excited to get this textured vest in from White House Black Market. It’s the first version of a vest-top I’ve seen that I really like, it feels elegant and updated.
I’ll wear it with white jeans and neutral sandals for a date night.
Available in sizes 00 – 22, I ordered the 8. Also available in petite.
Marked down from $175 (I would NEVER pay that ) to $105.

Summer Pants
I featured these over the weekend in our Sunday Sales round up (you can see our picks from last week here), and these red cropped pants from Ann Taylor were a best seller.
Pair them with an update white top, like this reader favorite from Tuckernuck.

Shorts
A pair of red shorts are an easy way to add a pop of red into your casual summer wardrobe.
I have these red shorts in tan from Gap Factory and they fantastic, light, comfortable, and only $20.

Shoes
Finally, I’m not the biggest fan of red shoes. I think they sometimes take away from a look, but I’m not mad at these braided sandals from Rothy’s.
I like how the styled them with all black on their website, they would also look lovely with a denim and white combination.

For something simple I adore this stripe clutch from Amazon. It’s only $25, and an easy way to add a little color and interest.
