Review: Neutrogena Hydro Boost and Hydrating Hydrogel Mask

Review: Neutrogena Hydro Boost and Hydrating Hydrogel Mask

Last month I picked up a four-pack of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrogel Mask after seeing a review of it on TikTok, and it is the best $10 I’ve spent on a skincare product, possibly ever.

While it’s well documented that I take my skincare seriously and spend on certain products, this simple drugstore brand mask has earned a permeant spot in my beauty routine.

Next to using daily sunscreen, products that properly hydrate your skin are the most important. Hydration keeps your skin soft and supple, minimizes lines and wrinkles, and gives an overall glow.

Two things make this sheet mask unique.

The sheet mask itself is made from a hydrogel material filled with hyaluronic acid, so it sticks to your skin better than other paper sheet masks.

Second, the mask comes in two pieces so it fits correctly. Once it’s on, you can feel it bind to your face, allowing the hyaluronic acid to soak deeply into your skin.

Apply after you cleanse and keep it on for 15 – 20 minutes.

This is a wet mask, but once it’s on, it will stay in place.

Next, take any excess serum and apply it to your neck while you wait. Then, remove and follow up with additional serums you use.

I use this when I have a few extra minutes to do some self-care on a Sunday or before a night out.

Recently, my husband and I went out for our anniversary, and I threw this on while I got ready. I couldn’t believe it; my skin looked so fresh and alive even though we were both exhausted by the time we made it out of the house.

Tip: For an extra cooling feeling and to help decrease puffiness, keep these in your refrigerator.

You can order this on Amazon or pick it up the next time you’re strolling Target.

From Neutrogena:

This innovative hydrogel mask instantly quenches dry skin, leaving it hydrated, smooth, and supple. Made from a unique 100% hydrogel material, there is nourishing serum in each face mask.

The skin-nourishing formula contains purified hyaluronic acid.

Once applied, the face mask contours to your skin and seals in its hydrating formula for optimal absorption to deliver clinically proven results.

To use, apply the face mask after cleansing and before applying serum and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes to give your skin an extra boost of hydration.

Do you have an affiliate link for target? I shop there more than Amazon but would also like to support all the work you do.

I used to think the mask trend was just a fad until I tried these. I started using these last year and they are fantastic! The Hydro Boost gel moisturizer is a pretty great product also. I use it in the morning under my sunscreen. Great product!
