Must Have Piece: Wear-All-Spring Sandal

Louise et Cie Gabbin SandalSandal, $126

With the change of season comes the need for a few new pair of shoes, and this pair is not to be missed.  I tend to lean towards neutral, classic shoes that go with everything.  Other than a pair of leopard print pumps, my shoes are a sea of beige, tan and black.  But, every now and then something with added interest can also work as a neutral – like these block heeled sandals by Louise et Cei.

The color is rich and gorgeous. Because they sit in the middle of the color spectrum they are a lovely option for all skin tones.  The texture adds incredible interest without being too obtrusive; they won’t fight with your outfit.  A subtle gold trim makes these modern and elegant.

If you have any outdoor events this spring, consider a block heel. Not only are they comfortable, they feel sturdy and allow you to stand on grass and dirt without your heel sinking in to the ground.

I plan on wearing these with cozy boyfriend jeans rolled at the ankle (these from KUT are under $100 and look adorable on) , my new favorite pair of “painter pants” and dressed up with a this fit and flare floral midid dress.

This time of year, if you find a pair of shoes you love and they are available in your size, don’t miss them.  The spring and summer inventory is always more limited than fall, especially on the east coast because the season is short.  If you wait until May the merchandise will be picked over.

  1. Although, 3 3/4 inch heels are still way high for me! I mostly wear flats or at most a 2 inch wedge (on my feet a lot for work)

    1. Hi Julie,
We try to feature a wide array of styles for our broad audience. I would consider these sandals more appropriate for a casual or weekend function and less for work. Certainly, when you’re on your feet a lot a work a lower heel is much more comfortable.

  2. Megan,
I love all the shoes that post . Especially these block heels. Unfortunately I’m out of proportion LOL. I’m petite but have Wide feet . Just wondering if you could post some Wide width options for shoes.
