On Saturday night, I threw my husband a huge surprise 40th birthday party. It took months of planning, but everything turned out to be well worth the effort. We had a fantastic time, I drank too much bubbly and stayed out entirely too late. I’m going to share some photos later this week in an upcoming post, so stay tuned.
Over the last week leading up to the party, this bag by Lug never left my side. I realized I’ve never shared it on the blog, did a quick search to see if it was still available and turns out it’s on CLEARANCE! It’s just a great utilitarian bag that’s functionality makes life a little easier.
I discovered it late one night, while Bri was on a business trip, watching QVC in the midst of my insomnia. All these years since I left the Q I still find having it on in the background oddly comforting, and if you watch with a keen eye, you can learn so much about sales and persuasive language. Plus, I just find it fascinating and they have great products.
I ordered three bags that night. One for Bri and me, and one for each of the girls. The girls use them all the time, for sleepovers at their grandparent’s house, our annual week at the beach and they carry them to the pool and summer camp. For me, it’s the ideal “weekender” or gym bag. There is tons of room, strategic pockets, and comfortable straps that you can wear across your body, or carry by hand. The link has a helpful video to show all of the compartments.
For Bri’s party, I used it to sneak favors and pictures out of the house and packed it to stay overnight in the city the night of the event. I toss it in the back of my car with little care and after a year of use still looks new. Currently, you can get it on on sale for $64 – a fantastic price for an item you’ll turn to over and again. If you are looking for a new gym bag, need a functional carry-all for your kids, or could use an extra piece of luggage – give this a try.
We have some fun and fresh content coming up this week! In the meantime, I’m going to get another coffee and pull myself together for a full day of corporate work. Next time I throw a bash, I’ll know I need an extra day to recover 🙂 Have a great week!
