Summer is coming. Even though it may seem like it’s in the distant future here in the NorthEast, I urge you to think ahead for your swimwear needs. I always put it off because I loathe bathing suit shopping (I don’t think I’m alone in that) and then when I finally do muster up the energy to do it, I’m pressed for time and the options are limited. I have quite a few swimsuits that I picked based on “what’s in my size that can be delivered here by Friday?” instead of “what makes me feel and look good?” Thus, I did some research and rounded up my long list of full piece bathing suit contenders to share with you.
Anthropologie’s curated swim collection is classic with a charming twist. You’ll find bright colors and happy details in this bunch.
I’ve always had at least one J. Crew bathing suit in rotation. They wear well and with proper care, they last a long time too. This season they seem to have frequent sales, so keep an eye out for that.
I never paid Lands’ End much attention until a family friend began working for the company. But I was pleasantly surprised when I saw some of the options they have. It just goes to show that it pays off to look outside of your normal brand rotation once in a while – you may just find some great stuff in unexpected places.
If you want a full-piece bathing suit that is a bit sexier, La Blanca is for you. I have a deep plunge suit that I bought a couple of years to ago, and it’s my most favorite suit. While the cuts may be more daring, the quality is great, so you don’t feel like you are wearing something revealing AND flimsy.
Plus options used to be limited to the skirted options, which are fine, but I don’t think every woman wants the exact same swimsuit as everyone else! Check out these super cute options, none of which are skirted.
Did you take the plunge and order one of these suits? If so, let us know in the comments!
