How to Wear The Ann Taylor Hunter Blazer

[flexy_breadcrumb]

On Monday, we featured a round-up of my top picks from Ann Taylor for early Fall and  you loved this double knit blazer in “pine.”

Today, it’s on sale for 40% (OFF! USE CODE: ANNVIP) making it just under $100.

This post is loaded with options, many on sale!

I love a double knit because it gives you structure and comfort, so it’s ideal for the casual-leaning workplace while still creating a professional look.

The green color feels fresh, but if you want something super classic it’s also available in camel. Both come in regular and petite in 00 – 18.

Double Knit Blazer, $159 | Straight-fit Ankle Pant, $98.50 | Calf Hair Mule, $425 | Satin Blouse, $59 | Hoop Earrings, $95 | Satchel, $120

You can certainly pair this with your favorite black bottoms, but how pretty is it with navy? It’s a feminine and elegant combination similar to wearing pink and red together.

I’m using these straight-fit ankle pants from Banana Republic for a few reasons. First, they are made of the same fabric as the blazer, so you will instantly look put together. Also, these are a reader favorite, and I love using pieces you already have hanging in your closet to help you build out a practical wardrobe.

Finally, they are currently on a super sale (40% off + Extra 10% off with code BRFAMILY) in regular and petite sizes 0 – 20. So if you don’t already have them, now is the time to scoop them up while they are about $50.

Under the blazer, I would layer this simple satin sleeveless blouse from Vince Camuto. It’s a great basic available in ivory and black. You’ll wear it under blazers and long cardigans all season.

Next, let’s talk about shoes. If you splurged on these gorgeous Jenni Kayne calf hair mules when they were part of the Nordstrom Sale over the summer, here’s an opportunity to wear them.

They look best with ankle-skimming pants. Don’t be afraid to add a leopard print to your outfit, especially if you mix solid colors; it adds texture and visual interest.

You’ll find similar, more affordable versions of these this season. I like this version by Kate Spade for $59. You can also keep your eye out for lesser known brands at DSW.

Need a bag for fall? This Ralph Lauren satchel was a top seller last year and is currently marked down from $235 to $119, available in black and a stunning tan.

Finally, I’m so excited to see braided hoops trending. Here I’m using this super-wearable, just-under-$100 pair from Bloomingdales.

I love today’s look, and wear my leopard mules often with solid colors. I was a little surprised to see the black bag featured with this outfit, vs the tan (though I like it). I am wearing more navy these days. It seems a fresher take on black, but I’m often confused about which color leather to pair with it. I would love a post on that!

You're right, and I usually always opt for tan over black whenever I can. Here, however, I like that the black bag pulls the black out of the mule, it helps is feel more cohesive.
