Why You’ll Love Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye

Today, I wanted to share a new-to-me find that I adore.  Over the years, I’ve learned that cream-based makeup is the way to go when trying to create a natural, fresh face for aging skin.

The Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye is a gorgeous, highly pigmented, easy-to-use eye shadow that glides on perfectly. Add this to your makeup bag for when you want a finished faced in under 10 minutes.

Unlike traditional eye shadow that can fall out all over your cheeks, this “stick eye” won’t smuge or settling into your eye creases.

If you are tracking the Nordstrom Sale, they added many new beauty options, including the set below. You receive three full size sticks, in highly wearable, neutral colors for $58. Usually, one stick retails for $30.

Why You’ll Love Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye

What’s nice about these is their versatility. Swipe it on like an eyeliner along your lash line for a smokey look or blend with your finger over your eyelid.

BB Cream for Mature Skin

When I was young, I used to make up as camouflage. Like an idiot, I layered foundation and concealer over my smooth, flawless skin. I never considered myself pretty growing up, and I thought, if I used makeup in a certain way, I could change the way I looked. Sad and silly, I know.

Thank goodness with age comes a certain level of confidence and self-acceptance. Now that I’m in my 40s, I’ve turned my focus to skincare. I spend the time and money nourishing and protecting my skin. And makeup is used to highlight my features rather than hide or reshape them.

These days, I just want to look like myself, like the best, most well-rested version of myself. (lol)

Over the years, I’ve discovered a few game changers for my makeup routine that help me create a healthy, natural look in minutes. I’ve mentioned several of these earlier this month

Today, I want to highlight the Purlisse Radiant Glow Illuminating BB Cream with SPF 30. Ladies, I love it, especially for this time of year when you want something light, that evens out your complexion and gives it that youthful glow we took for granted when we naturally had it 😉

As always, the post is NOT sponsored.

Purlisse Radiant Glow Illuminating BB Cream SPF 30

Purlisse Radiant Glow Illuminating BB Cream SPF30

BB Cream, $35

I use their “Illuminating” BB cream designed for fair (me) to medium skin. They also have their “Perfect Glow” BB Cream, which is available for all skin tones. Both are wonderful.

Most days, this is the only product I use for coverage. If I need a little more, depending on what is going on with my skin, I’ll add a touch of concealer. That’s it.

The product blends into your skin beautifully, allowing you to use a little at a time for buildable coverage. It doesn’t end up cakey or resting in your fine lines or wrinkles after a long day. And I swear, I get complimented all the time when I have it on.

BB creams are designed to be skin-focused, meaning they nourish the skin while also providing coverage. The formulation is designed to hydrate and protect, which is why they have SPF in them.

I still apply a stand-alone SPF in the morning, let that sit for a few minutes, and then layer on the BB cream. Give the BB cream a minute to set as well and you’ll get a smooth finish, with a touch of glow, that looks like your skin only better.

What to Buy at Sephora’s Spring Sale

I love Sephora.

I can spend hours walking up and down the aisles.  And now that I’m almost always running in with one of my girls, it’s even more fun to explore.

When I leave, with my glossy black bag filled with goodies, I’m convinced for a brief moment that when I use these new products, I will emerge as a better, more beautiful version of myself. Lol.

Maybe it’s just me, but opening up a new box of product is like my version of Christmas Morning.

Right now is the  Sephora Spring Sale , marketed specifically for their “Insiders.”

What does that mean?

Nothing special, you just have to sign up for their rewards program. If you’re not a Sephora Insider, sign up on their site before you start shopping. It’s easy, it’s free and they don’t bug you about anything.

This sale is different in that the discounts vary based off  your Insider level, and your Insider level is determined by your annual spend.

If you’re just getting started you’re called an Insider and get 10% off, if you’re VIP  you get 15% off, and if you’re what they call Rouge you get 20% off. The more you spend annually, the greater the discount you’ll receive.

Regardless of which level you are, use the code OMGSPRING at check out.

The saving is significant if you use many of the brands they carry, or worth it if you want to try something new at a discount.

My Favorites

For today’s post, I stood in my bathroom and looked up all of my favorite products to see if you can grab them on sale. Most of these you’ve heard me talk about countless times, others I started using a few months ago and am happy to recommend.

Below, I broke this down into Skincare, and then Makeup, Fragrance and Tools.

Skincare

If you’ve been following for any amount of time, you know I spend time focusing on keeping my skin healthy. I’m 41 years old, with fair, freckled, sensitive skin, and dealt with terrible cystic acne – as an adult – for many years.

Skin issues profoundly impacted my self-confidence. It wasn’t until I got my skin issues under control that I felt confident enough to put my face on the blog, so I am more than happy to spend here and save in other areas.

Also, I hope this goes without saying, while I do spend on better beauty products, I don’t buy all of these at once. Some products I have to replenish every month, most require only once or twice a year.

I would rather spend on skincare than designer shoes, but that’s just me.

When there is a sale, I do stock up to take advantage of the savings.

Now, my skin has never looked better.

Please note, I use other products and tools in my routines, below are the ones available in the sale.

Skincare Picks from the Sephora Spring Sale

A collection of skincare from Drunk Elephant and Sunday Reiley from Sephora

In the evening.

I double cleanse every night. This means you wash your face twice, first with an oil-based cleanser, and then follow up with a gentle gel-based one. For this, I use the Tatcha Oil Cleanser by far, my favorite gentle cleanser. It quickly removes makeup and cleanses skin without stripping it of moisture. For sensitive skin, it’s a dream. I’ve been using this for years. It’s currently out of stock at Sephora and Amazon, but you can buy from their website here.

Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser, $32 This is a fantastic gel cleanser. You get a deep clean, again, without stripping your skin.

I’ve been using the SUNDAY RILEY A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum ($85) in the evening after other oils and serums. Because my skin is sensitive, retinol can be too harsh, but this is gentle, and I’ve been pleased with the results.

I apply the Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream Plumping & Hydrating Moisturizer, morning and night. As a final step, I use Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask, $52 on top of my moisturizer right before I get in bed. It helps lock in all my products, and I wake up with soft and hydrated skin.

Finally, the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask, $39, is my forever favorite mask. It’s so simple and effective, only takes 5 minutes, and helps clear your skin. I use it once or so a week; even my daughters regularly use it to help with breakouts.

In the morning.

Not everyone washes their face in the morning, but I feel like by the time I get around to my routine, it needs a gentle cleanse, so I use the Tatcha Oil Cleanser.

Then I apply a few drops of Vintners Daughter’s (not available at Sephora, but I mention it because it’s made the most impact on my skin) and then use this SUNDAY RILEY C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum, $85 after

Always give your skin a few minutes to absorb your products.

Finally, I apply the Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream Plumping & Hydrating Moisturizer again and then use the Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30, $34 every single day, as my final morning layer.

Sunscreen is your most important beauty product, so be sure to wear a generous amount daily and always apply it as your last step.

Makeup | Fragrance | and Tools

One of the many benefits of focusing on skin health is you don’t require much in terms of make up. You’ll never see me “baking” or conturing to an inch of my life. I like to see my skin come through, freckles and all.

You have seen all of these on here before. These are my everyday, go-to, 5 minute face essential.

A collection of makeup, fragrance, and tools from Sephora

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick Balm, ($38) Like a lipstick and lip balm together, super hydrating with just a hint of pigment.

Jo Malone London Peony & Blush Suede Cologne, ($142) This has been my signature scent for several years. It’s just lovely, and I am forever complimented on it.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick, ($49) What’s great about it is that it isn’t heavy or cakey. You can build for the kind of coverage you want (use a BeautyBlender for easy application). The best thing about Bobbi Brown is the array of skin tones. You can be pale as a ghost (like me) or have deep and dark skin. It’s truly inclusive.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer, ($30) I have been using this bronzer since I was in my twenties. For my skin tone, it looks natural. If you want a healthy glow, you seriously don’t need any other product. And it lasts forever.

Benefit Cosmetics Big Brow Love Eyebrow Pencil & Gel Value Set, $30 It’s a well known fact that I believe strongly in eyebrows. They shape your face and make you look youthful, happy, and healthy. As I’ve aged, mine have become thin and sparse, so they need a little love, that’s why I use all of Benefit’s eyebrow products.  This value kit is a great opportunity to give some of their best sellers a try.  I also use and love their highlight pencil, here

SEPHORA COLLECTION Skin Perfecting Brush Set, ($55) It’s under $60 and has everything you need to get the most out of your application.

beautyblender ORIGINAL BEAUTYBLENDER Makeup Sponge, ($20) I add these to my cart every time there is a sale.

tarte Power Bar Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette, ($19) I’m a big fan of tarte. Their Shape Tape concealer is the best concealer I’ve ever used. I picked up this simple under $20 eyeshadow palette for the season, and it’s incredible. Simple, pigmented, smooth application and lovely neutral colors.

5 Finds to Freshen Up Your Spring Beauty

Who doesn’t love a beauty bag refresh now and then?

Now that the weather is warming up, I like to lighten my make-up to coincide with the season. Over the last month, I’ve tried out some new-to-me products and can happily share five that have earned their keep in my own routine.

5 Finds to Freshen Up Your Spring Beauty Routine

Beauty Buys

As usual, none of our content is sponsored. I personally purchase these products, test them myself and do not receive compensation for a positive review.

YSL Shine Lipstick Balm

Shine Lipstick Balm

Shine Lipstick Balm, $38

This is NOT a thick, rich, highly pigmented lipstick. Instead, it’s like a whisper of color for your lips in a super hydrating balm. My allergies are off the charts this time of year, and between congestion and medicine, my lips get dry. I love using this since it’s a more elevated version of a lip balm. And the chic packaging doesn’t hurt either 😉

Eyebrow Pencil and Highlight Pencil Set

Eyebrow pencil and highlighting set

Eyebrow Pencil and Highlighting Pencil Set, $32

Long-time readers know that eyebrows are my favorite. They are a game-changer for effortless, natural, everyday beauty. Grooming them properly will bring a lot of life to your face and highlight your best features. But you don’t want to spend too much time fussing with it, that’s why I recommend many of benefit’s brow products. I recently added this pencil and highlighting duo for spring and summer.

The pencil comes with a spooly on one end and a pencil on the other. You’ll get a more subtle look with this than Ka-Brow (which I still use and love). With the pencil, you fill in any sparse spots and define their shape, and you’re done.

Follow by swiping the brow highlighter under your arch, and dab some in the corner of my eye to look more awake and bright.

Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara

Thrive Causmetics Mascara

Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara, $24

Coming in a close second to eyebrows is eyelashes. I love a strong lash and try all kinds of mascaras. I discovered Thrive Causmetics late last year after many readers listed it as their favorite beauty buy of 2020. So, of course, I had to try it myself.

This stuff is for serious lash lovers. If you want a bold, long, defined lash, you’ll love this.

It did take me a few applications to get used to the formula. It’s wetter than what I’m used to but dries quickly. With this, you don’t have to add more than one, maybe two layers. Less is more.

The look is gorgeous, and as a bonus, it’s so easy to wash off—it kind of flakes off when you wash your face, so it’s gentle, and you don’t have to deal with raccoon eyes.

If this testimonial isn’t enough, I find this in my 14-year-olds makeup bag every day. 😉

Use this link to get $10 off your first purchase of $50 +.

Vitamin C Brightening Serum

Vitamin C Brightening Serum

Vitamin C Brightening Serum, $85

I talked about the benefits of incorporating Vitamin C into your morning skin care routine here. I decided to test out, C.E.O by Sunday Riley, a new-to-me product with great reviews. It’s pricey but gentle on your skin and easy to incorporate into whatever you’re already using.

If you are looking for a more affordable option, I like these Vichy Vitamin C Capsules.

(Re) Setting 100% Mineral Powder

ReSetting Mineral Powder

(Re)setting 100% Mineral Powder, $30

Finally, sunscreen should be the number one product in your skincare routine. Wear it all day, every day, no matter what you are doing, regardless of the time of year. Daily, I apply SPF 30 from Drunk Elephant at the end of my morning routine. And now, to freshen up my make-up mid-day, I use this (re)setting powder from Supergoop.

You can keep it in your bag or desk drawer and swipe it across your face mid-day to freshen up your make-up and reapply your sunscreen. Genius!

How to Clean Your Make-Up Brushes

Today we’re going to talk about how to clean your make-up brushes, an essential but often overlooked step in a healthy skincare routine.

There are dozens of ways to go about this, BUT, last year, I stumbled on an inexpensive and easy tool to use that cleans and dries your brushes in seconds.

SECONDS.

As usual, this post is not sponsored. I buy everything myself and try out dozens of different items and gadgets that never make it to this site.

Last year, during the early part of lockdown, I ordered this make-up brush cleaning kit from Amazon in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep. And then I promptly forgot about it until it landed on my front door.

Admittedly, when I unpacked it, I thought it was going to be absolute junk. Still, I grabbed my make-up brushes and got to work.

In minutes my brushes weren’t just clean, they were dry. And this goofy, middle of the night impulse buy became one of my best purchases of last year.

How to Clean Your Make-Up Brushes in Minutes

How to Clean Make Up Brushes

Brush Cleaning Kit, $21

All you need is this brush cleaning kit and some Dawn dish soap.

The kit comes with a bowl, the battery-operated wand, and various collars used to help hold any size brush and attach them to the wand. You’ll also receive a storage stand to keep the collars organized.

Simply take one of your brushes, find the best collar to fit, attach it to the wand and then dip it into the bowl filled with soap and hot water.

Dunk the bristles up and down for 10 seconds, and then push the button on the wand to spin.

When you’re ready to dry, slowly lift the wand and spin it in the bowl above the waterline.

The brush will be dry in about 30 seconds.

Dry like you can use it immediately. No more laying flat to dry overnight.

You’ll have to replace the soap and water a few times, but other than that, this is the most efficient way to clean make-up brushes I have ever come across.

Shop This Post: Make-Up Brush Cleaning Kit, $21

How Often Should You Clean Your Make-Up Brushes?

Once a week is ideal.

How Should You Store Your Make-Up Brushes?

The most important thing to remember is where NOT to store them. Avoid keeping them out on your counter or vanity in your bathroom. They will absorb all the moisture in the room (along with other gross things) and will become a breading ground for bacteria.

Reader Favorite Beauty Buys of 2020

Long time readers know I have a not so secret obsession with skincare and makeup, but only share the products I absolutely love. It’s why there are so few beauty posts on the blog, once I discover a product that works I stick with it.

A few years ago, I shared my nighttime skincare routine and it quickly became one of my most read and shared posts. Since then I’ve highlighted what I would call “hero” products, the ones the make the biggest difference, the ones I never want to be without.

And as it turns out, many of those products are your favorites too. So today, as we continue to tie a bow on the year, I’m rounding up your favorite, top selling products from 2020.

Buy these for yourself and indulge in some much deserved self-care or pick them up as a gift for someone you love this holiday.

Reader Favorite Beauty Buys of 2020

Top Beauty Buys of 2020

Around the time I turned 37, I started to take extra good care of my skin. I began to invest in better products, most of which are clean, and diligently use them every day (or as directed).

I lived for years with adult cystic acne, and it all but destroyed the little self-esteem I had. It’s why for years, I never posted pictures of myself here on the blog.

But now, at 41, my skin is the best it ever looked. I’m able to wear less makeup and really let my skin show, freckles and all.

It’s incredible what it’s done for my confidence levels.
Below are the top-selling products from 2020, with a short description of why I love it. If you have a product you love, be sure to share it in the comments.

Vintner’s Daughter

Vinter's DaughterVintner’s Daughter, $185

Vintner’s Daughter was my first big beauty splurge and, to this day, is the product I am never without. It absolutely changed my skin, healing redness, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. You only need a tiny amount, so a bottle can last about three months. Apply morning and night after you wash your face and give it a few minutes to soak in before you layer on anything else.

Caudalie Instant Detox Mask

Caudalie Instant Detox Mask

Caudalie Instant Detox Mask, $39

Every Sunday night, I use the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask to draw impurities and toxins out of my skin. It’s an uncomplicated process that takes about 10 minutes but really works. Priced at under $40, it’s an affordable indulgence that would make a great gift or stocking stuffer.

Goop Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub

Goop Himalayan Sea Salt Scrub

Goop Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub, $42

My FAVORITE personal care indulgence is the Goop Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub. Use once a week instead of your traditional shampoo to rid your scalp of buildup. It smells incredible, like an effervescent spa experience. And your hair and scalp feel so fresh and clean. Also makes a great gift.

Drunk Elephant Waterfacial Mask

Drunk Elephant Waterfacial Mask

Drunk Elephant Waterfacial Mask, $52

I became a big fan of Drunk Elephant this year and have heard from so many readers who love this “mask” too. But it’s not really a mask. Instead, it’s the last step in your nighttime routine to lock in moisture. It’s beneficial this time of year when it’s cold out, and we’re cooped up inside with the heat on – a recipe to dry out our skin. To use, layer this on a few minutes after you apply your night cream, and it acts as a layer to keep your skin hydrated overnight.

Tatcha Oil Cleanser

Tatcha Oil Cleanser

Tatcha Oil Cleanser, $48

I do a double cleanse every night, which simply means I was my face twice, first with an oil-based cleanser, and then I follow up with a gel cleanser. The Tatcha Oil Cleanser is incredibly gentle yet effective. It removes makeup, including stubborn mascara, and leaves no residue on your skin. I’ve been using it for years and love it so much I won’t even consider trying a different brand.

Wander Beauty Mascara

Wander Beauty Mascara

Wander Beauty Mascara, $26

I searched high and low for a mascara that created thick, long lashes without looking like spiders were growing out of my eyes, and Wander is my winner. I don’t want a dramatic eye; I don’t want to look like I’m wearing lash extensions. I just want to look like myself but a little better. This is a straightforward formula that kicks your lashes up a level – no more, no less.

Benefit Ka-Brow

Benefit Ka-Brow Pomade

Benefit Ka-BROW Pomade, $14

If I had to pick only one product to use forever, JUST ONE, it would be Benefit Ka-BROW. Your eyebrows give your face structure, they highlight all your other features, so defining them will help bring life to your face. This product is a game changer for your brows, allowing you quickly fill them so you look natural, youthful and polished.

Kosas Lipstick

Kosas Lipstick

Kosas Lipstick, $28

Finally, I’m the biggest fan of Kosas lipsticks because their formula is clean, AND the pigment is on point. It’s rich and creamy like a traditional lipstick without any of the toxins. I regularly wear their red, called “Electra” and have heard how much our readers love it too. A close second is their pink called “Rosewater” which is a pretty wear-with-everything neutral.

The BEST Beauty Products on Amazon

Let’s talk about the best beauty products on Amazon.

I find myself reaching for my Amazon app an embarrassing amount of times during the day. With three kids and what feels like a dozen full-time jobs, it’s one of the few resources that make my life easier.

One of the elements of my job that I love most is trying different self care products and tools. Some are crazy, others silly, but over the years I have discovered some truly fabulous finds.

The kind that make you wonder, “how did I live without this?”

So today, I rounded up my all time favorites, the ones I use on a daily basis, and reorder constantly.

The Best Beauty Products on Amazon

BEST Beauty Products on Amazon

BB Cream, $29  |  It’s a 10, $19.50 |  Self Tanner, $40  |  Ice Roller, $18  |  Derma Roller, $23  |  RMS Signature Set, $44  |  Eyebrow Razor, $4.50  |  Detangling Brush, $10  |  Body Blur, $39  |  Muslin Cloths, $10

BB Cream, $29

Back in my youth, I used to cover up my wrinkle-free baby skin with layers and layers of skin clogging foundation – all in an attempt to hide my freckles. Thankfully, as I’ve aged, I’ve embraced those freckles and wear much less makeup. A year ago, a sample of this BB Cream by Marcelle showed up in my Birchbox. Called “Golden Glow” It looked too dark for my (very) fair skin, so I almost threw it away.

But, I gave it a try one morning, and my skin looked beautiful. The pigment adjusts to your skin tone if it’s between fair and medium. You can still see your skin, freckles and all; it just evens it out without clogging your pores. I quickly ordered a full size from Amazon while standing at my bathroom skin

I use it in the summer, when I have a self tanner on. It’s become my go-to for a super fast, almost make-up free face that is Zoom call ready.

Note: They are calling this a “Universal Color” which makes me a bit crazy. This will adjust to the pigment of your skin up to a deep medium. Any darker than that and I think this would be too light. The beauty industry, like the fashion industry, has a long way to go when it comes to inclusion.

Self Tanner, $40

I featured this self-tanner back in May, and after a summer of use, it’s my all-time favorite.

As a fair-skinned girl with long limbs, who spends a ton of time at the shore in the summer, I feel more confident with a little natural-looking color. While love a spray tan, they take time I don’t currently have to spare. This two-hour tanner gives you the perfect glow without all the fuss.

Apply it, let it sit for two hours (sometimes I keep it on longer), hop in the shower, and rinse it off. Over a few hours, you’ll see a lovely natural looking tan emerge, with no funny smell or stained clothes.

Body Blur, $39

This “body blur” by Vita Liberata is like a combination of a BB Cream and a Self Tanner. It’s a make up artist go-to to create an all over glow to the body. You’ll see celebrities slather on something similar before press events to get that flawless look to their legs, arms and neck.

Unlike a self tanner, the color is immediate and will wash off in the shower. Use it for special occasions, or to extend the life and look of a tan.

It’s a 10, $24

I should buy this in bulk. Doing my girl’s hair is bearable since I discovered It’s a 10 several years ago. It is a detangler, and leave-in conditioner spray that leaves soft hair, works through the worst of knots and makes hair easy to manage. I’ve tried countless less expensive brands, but keep coming back to this.

Tangle Teezer Brush, $10

Speaking of detangling, this brush is a game-changer. I bought it as a stocking stuffer for my kids and it turned out to be a true Christmas miracle.

All of my daughters have long, thick, curly hair. Brushing their hair at night or getting ready for school in the morning use to leave us all in tears. But the combination of It’s a 10 and the Tangle Teezer, we now have yelling-free (for the most part) mornings, and they can be left to do their hair on their own.

It has hundreds of 5 star reviews you can read here

Ice Roller Face Massager, $13

This ice roller may be the silliest beauty product I ordered  from Amazon in a long time, but it is surprisingly fantastic.
I keep it in my freezer drawer and use it first thing in the morning, while the house is quiet and I’m getting my coffee ready. Admittedly, I’m tired these days. Like many of us, I’m not getting a ton of sleep and wake up looking and feeling puffy. It helps reduce the puffiness and tightens pores and is especially lovely during allergy season when I feel like I can barely fully open my eyes.

Derma Roller Kit, $22

By now you know how much I love my derma roller and this set, in particular, is fantastic. You can’t beat the price or quality.

You can see my step by step break down of how to use a derma roller here.  If you’re already thinking of inexpensive holiday or birthday gifts for girlfriends, this is a wonderful, under $25 idea.

Makeup Palette, $40

My single best beauty find on Amazon in 2019 was  this RMS makeup palette. It’s seriously the perfect little on-the-go pallet. I have multiples and keep one in my bag and the other on my vanity. Use it to bring a little color to your lips and cheeks, swipe the highlight down your nose and in the corners of your eye to make them pop. So simple.

It also feels very age appropriate to me for young girls, so I do let me 13 year old “steal” mine on occasion.

Face Razors, $5

The secret to flawless makeup is smooth skin. To get that, I take one of these slim razors, and gently run it up my checks and along my jaw line to remove baby hair and peach fuzz.  Holy cow, does it make an incredible difference in how your products sit on your skin! I’m never without these.

Muslin Cloths, $10

It’s so important to be as gentle as possible with your face. You want to minimize how much you tug and pull at it. These muslin cloths (marketed as organic baby wipes) are fabulous. I keep stacks of them in my bathroom and use them nightly.

A great tip I’ve learned to remove clay masks or any product that leaves a residue is to soak a muslin cloth in warm water, wring it out, and place it on your face, covering the entire surface. Gently press it on your skin, let it sit for a second, and remove it. Do this a few times. The steam will help to breakdown anything on your skin, and you’ll avoid having to wipe it off aggressively.
