Keeping your work wardrobe looking and feeling exciting this time of year takes some effort. At this point every summer, I am bored out of my mind with what’s hanging in my closet. I figure you might be feeling the same way, especially if you have to get dressed every day to go to work. So today I’m shaking things up with an extra feminine, print driven look that is affordable and can easily transition to fall.
This floral skirt, with its unique combination of rich colors, is one of the prettiest prints I’ve seen in a long time. Florals are usually too saccharine sweet for me, but this print is sophisticated and super wearable. To wear now, I found this gorgeous dark green short sleeve blouse from H&M. It gives the outfit a cohesive feel by pulling out the accent color in the print of the skirt and will help elongate the line of your body. This long Kendra Scott necklace with a white stone pendant will also continue to create length for the look. Finally, crisp white pumps add a lightness that’s needed to keep the look light.
To bring the skirt into fall, I picked this lovely white sweater. I like how the scalloped hem finished the sweater to transition to the skirt. It subtly enhances the femininity of the skirt. I think a necklace will be too much for the trim of the sweater, so I went with some stacked bracelets in white and orange. An orange suede pump finishes the look with a pop of muted color. For both looks, I went with a soft tan satchel that blends in beautifully and is seasonless in its wearability.
