The Weekender: Bliss Fabulips Giveaway

The Weekender Giveaway

Bliss FabulipsBliss Fabulips, $16

It’s time for another giveaway! For this post; my recent trip to San Francisco was my inspiration. It was there for work, but after my program had wrapped up I had hours before my flight home. I decided to indulge in a spa treatment at Bliss Salon in the W Hotel.

It felt indulgent and amazing. I slipped on my robe, sipped lemon water and took a deep breath. It was the first time in weeks I had a moment to myself with nothing to do but flip through a magazine and think.   As women; we just keep going and going. It’s hard to pull ourselves away from our never ending to-do list. But as we all know, it’s so important to carve out some time for ourselves, so we can keep going and take care of the ones we love.

As I was checking out, I picked up this lovely lip balm. It came in handy this week as I’ve been battling a nasty head cold. It kept my lips soft without feeling slick and covered in product.

In an effort to keep us all inspired, below, share your favorite way to indulge and unplug.  No matter if you have a weekend, or 5 minutes, how do you come back to center? One winner will be randomly selected to win a lip balm. Comments will be closed on Friday, May 1, and a winner will be announced next Saturday, May 2nd.

Have a great weekend!

  1. It’s hard for me to make time but when I’m traveling, I always arrive at the airport a bit earlier so I can stop into the Xpress Spa and get a chair massage. Most times, running is something that helps me clear my mind.

  2. This is more on the “unplug” side of the coin, but on Sundays when my husband and I go out for brunch, or to run errands I leave my phone at home. It was weird the first few weeks but it helps me to stop the reflex of checking my phone every few minutes. I notice what is going on around me and I pay more attention having a conversation with my husband.

  3. My treat is a scrub under the shower with “L’Occitaine verveine body salt scrub” – the scent gives me instant energy and the salt scrub leaves my skin sooo soft!

  4. If I only have 15 minutes to myself than I will make my favorite tea, yogi kombucha green tea, and I’ll slip on my ear buds to listen to my favorite app called buddify that has short and calming meditations for any time throughout the day. This is usually the time when I allow my brain to sit still and afterward I’m always clear headed, relaxed and confident that everything will be okay.

  5. Oddly, I get up EARLIER..while it’s quiet, I command the coffee pot and can put my feet up in front of the PC and “pin” without guilt or any sense of time obligation. It’s cheesy, but picking out home projects, collecting shoes and handbags online, and finding artwork to love is weirdly relaxing. I have no idea how this started…but based on the number of boards and pins I have, it appears to be here to stay.

  6. Making jewelry is my therapy. I make one of a kind, beaded jewelry. Upon opening up my bead box, I get lost. I play, create, unwind and love every minute of it!
