High vs Low: Backpack for Work

high vs low backpackEverlane, $330 vs, Sole Society, $64.95 in black

For the longest time, I loathed backpacks. I just couldn’t understand their appeal. However, over the years, they’ve evolved. Gone are the bulky, oversized bags that looked like you were headed off to some rugged adventure. Today’s interpretation is sleek, modern, and functional. With the culture of today’s office becoming increasingly casual, tech jobs dominating the market, and people commuting more and more via public transit or bike, backpacks make sense.

Among today’s options, I’m going low all the way. These bags are practically identical, but I like the subtle design differences of the Sole Society bag a little better. With a savings of over $250, it seems like a no-brainer. Of course, Sole Society is faux leather, while Everlane is made of high-quality leather. Either bag is beautiful and a great option for days you’re either running to work or lugging all the kids’ stuff around for a busy day.

We featured the black, but the neutral option in either bag is equally stunning.

Which one do you like more?
