Old Navy Quilted Vest, $35 (in navy and steel wool)
For some, the quintessential start of fall is their first pumpkin spice latte, but for me, it’s the first morning I can wear a quilted vest. Putting one on means that the air is crisp, the sun is warm, the day starts earlier, and the beginning of the busiest and most exciting season is about to begin. There is nothing I look forward to more than a productive morning and a busy day. I love the satisfying feeling of a day well spent, a to-do list tackled, and the dial moved forward on projects.
Old Navy currently has the best selection of merchandise I’ve seen from them in a long time. As I was checking out their site, I stumbled on this quilted vest and bought it blue (night cruise) and beige (steel wool) right away. Ladies, it’s $35.00. I mean, done and done.
You’ll be shocked to know I’ll wear the navy with a classic striped breton, the beige vest over a slim cut chambray, and either over a simple long sleeve white tee shirt. (Boden makes a fantastic, not-see-through option.) Now, I like this cut with a skinny jean, but you could wear it with a boot cut, like these that we featured in yesterdays post. Shoes? Keep it casual: a cute sneaker or a slip on sneaker.
