Client Pick: Ted Backer “Magic” Scarf

Ted Baker Scarf Skinny Scarf, $29; Scarf, $129

Last week, I had a fun and productive styling session with a new client. We had already quickly edited her closet, shopped for a ton of updated pieces and were now at the last step when I come back to her closet and help her pull new outfits together. It’s my favorite part of our process because it’s the most creative.

It was during this appointment that we discovered what we dubbed, the “magic scarf” because it went with absolutely everything. Regardless of what color, or style we paired it with, it enhanced the look.

Technically it’s black, but it’s soft, so it also works beautifully with navy. Because of its mix of colors, it goes with brown, tan, navy, gray and with silver or gold tones. Hence, magic.

The pattern, by Ted Baker, is “Gem Gardens” and is his signature print of the season. Available in a large sized (71′ x 23′) in both Black and Ecru. There is a skinny scarf that I picked up for myself for under $30 and an array of other items including a bathing suit, cover up and the most lovely little clutch.
